Look, the alien only had one arm in this movie!

You’re reading The Buzz About Movies’ review on: Men in Black 3.

After soaring over a 200 M dollar budget, MIB 3 looked done. But it came  back to get some solid noise at the box office, but they probably won’t break even on this thing.

Here’s what we thought: The film had a great storyline, and the acting rocked, and the comedy was much better than the first one, it just needed a little touch of something (that it didn’t have) to make it great. With a REALLY disgusting love sequence, there are also cameos from Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Still, Will Smith was good, as was Josh Brolin. The villain was much better than the first one, he felt more human. A human wants revenge, he doesn’t just want to destroy the world. Also, they showed J’s backstory, as well as O’s backstory, and K’s “sort of” love affair with O.

Here’s my review on the cast:

WILL SMITH was as usual, funny. He played the role of J, and while he had his emotional scenes, he was mostly just funny. His character is so different from K, and that’s what makes the contrast nice.

TOMMY LEE JONES isn’t in the movie much. He is K. All he really does in this movie is shoot aliens and eat pie, no literally. HE’S BARELY IN IT! In the scenes he was in, he was good however.

JOSH BROLIN was good. Everyone’s saying he’s amazing and whatever what-not, and he was a good Tommy Lee Jones figure, but he wasn’t amazing at any cost. He was just…good.

JEMAINE CLEMENT was good as the big bad, Boris the Animal. I found Boris a really interesting character, a really human character (feelings wise). He also happens to have one arm missing and can shoot stuff out of his hand! Can’t get too much cooler than that.

Here’s my overall review:

ENJOYMENT: 9/10

STORY: 9/10

TECHNICAL: 10/10

ACTING: 8/10

VISUALS: 10/10
