The third installment in this franchise came out a few days ago. You’re reading The Buzz About Movies’s review on Men in Black.

The film was originally released in 1997, and now has two sequels. The film follows Agent J (Will Smith) learning the ropes of fighting aliens, until he actually has a huge cruiser scheduled to attack earth! His partner, K (Tommy Lee Jones) has done it for a long time before. In the film, they hint that people such as Steven Spielberg and Newt Gingrich are aliens!

I thought of it as a smart action alien invasion film, not much as a “MIB comedy”. There were some comedic parts, but there are in every action movie. Will Smith is good, but the Bug tops it off (best villain  FX of that time I’ve seen).

Tommy Lee Jones was good, but nothing more honestly.

HERE’S MY REVIEW ON THE CAST:

WILL SMITH plays James, a policeman for the NYPD. He has an encounter with an alien, and is then recruited for Men in Black, a society that stops aliens at all costs. He is the funniest in the movie, and the one with the best performance.

TOMMY LEE JONES plays K, an older worker for Men in Black, who is teaching J the ways of the MIB team. Then they run into a problem, and Jones holds his own, but is outperformed by Will Smith.

There are no other big roles in this movie, so here is my overall review:

ENJOYMENT: 9/10

STORY: 7/10

TECHNICAL: 8/10

VISUALS (FOR THAT TIME): 9/10

IMPACT: 8/10

PACING: 10/10

VALIDITY: 10/10

MOOD: 9/10

RE-WATCH: 9/10

Overall, I give this film an: 8.5 (Awesome)
