HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL-Movie Review

One word: Broadway. The film inspired little girls to dream and think big, but they reinforce that message a bit TOO much. The story is about a boy and a girl who meet at a New Year’s Eve party while they are both on vacation. Then, the girl moves to the boy’s hometown and they start a relationship, trying out for a “High School Musical” and they have tough competitors.

The film had random dance numbers where basketball players randomly dance, that happen on Broadway (often) but not in movies.

The songs were also too long to ENDURE. You get crazy after every 5 seconds there is another 4-minute dance number, and at the end the “villains” of the story turn into these good guys who do the final dance number “Together” with the entire cast.

The cast wasn’t the best, despite Zac Efron playing the lead boy, who can sing, dance and play basketball.

Overall, I would give this film a 6.5 out of 10.
