The Amazing Spider-Man

I can’t wait until July 3rd: The day The Amazing Spider-Man debuts in theaters. This film will certainly put a new perspective on Spider-Man, but I’m a bit worried they will do the same thing as the original trilogy but with different actors, like getting bit by the spider. I wish they could just have it between Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, and maybe have Kirsten Dunst in there for a break-up scene and a scene where Spider-Man makes up with her later.

Besides that, the effects and cinematography look to be outstanding, but it will not be able to rival big powerhouse movies like The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises, almost known that they will have $100 million + openings, but even though Spider-Man may get underestimated, look for it to be very good.

The cast consists of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man (WHO THE HECK IS HE?), Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy (I’VE REALLY HEARD OF HER!) and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard (ISN’T HE FROM HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS P1 AS MR. LOVEGOOD? YES, HE IS).

This film was going to have Tobey Maguire returning as Spider-Man, but Tobey Maguire quit the movie in pre-production as did many people, including director Sam Raimi. So, now comedy director Marc Webb will be making his action movie debut directing The Amazing Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield claims that he also does not want to take Tobey Maguire’s place. He considers this film a new chapter.

I think that this movie is going to be a good film, but I also think that Marvel made this film because of how many $$$$$$$$ they have already made off of the franchise, and Marvel is hungry for more (as usual). Let’s hope that this Spider-Man features  a good cast, and let’s hope that Emma Stone isn’t cheesy as she looks in the trailer.

Also, will people just go see Spider-Man: Turn of the Dark (the play) or go spend money on a movie ticket. I hope to see both this summer.
